The Stage-1 National Science Foundation (NSF) Civic Innovation Challenge (CIVIC) proposal, “Community-based Gunshot Alert System,” has been awarded to Vanderbilt University. As part of this grant, NACA will receive $10,000 for supporting outreach efforts for community participation.
NACA is partnering with the City of Austin Capital Delivery Services/Austin Watershed Department lead project manager attending monthly meetings to help keep residents updated on the impact to residents, and answer any residents questions. The anticipated project completion timeframe is early 2026.
Meeting Agendas are added to the website on the week of the meeting, and are also emailed to members with secure zoom links.
Meeting minutes are typically added to the website after they are approved the following meeting, though drafts may be added sooner.
Members receive a monthly newsletter informing on recent and upcoming actions of the association, and other local information.
Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month [excluding July and December] at 7:00PM. Meetings are a hybrid of in person and remote attendance via Zoom. For security, Zoom links are sent to members only.

Settlement Home, Williamson Family Campus 1607 Colony Creek Drive, Austin, TX 78758 There are two buildings there and the conference room is in the building with a sign that says "Williamson Family Campus".
